Gary di Silvestri

Gary di Silvestri is a talented athlete who has excelled in several sports at the professional, collegiate, and high school levels. Currently, Gary di Silvestri is training for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia, as a cross-country skier. 
Gary di Silvestri graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1989. He went on to earn his master’s in business administration from Columbia University, graduating with honors in 1993.
As a professional athlete, Gary di Silvestri serves as president of the National Ski Association and is a member of the Dominican National Ski Team. In addition to qualifying as a candidate for the 2014 Olympics, he is also scheduled to carry the Dominican flag in the opening ceremonies at next year’s Olympic Games. As a college student at Georgetown, he helped lead the school’s crew team to a national championship. Prior to this time, Gary di Silvestri served as captain of his high school wrestling and football teams at Monsignor Farrell High School in Staten Island, New York. As a high school student, he was named the New York Downstate Champion in wrestling and awarded top honors as an exceptional student-athlete.
In his spare time, Mr. di Silvestri helps other young student-athletes fulfill their dreams through athletic/academic scholarships he created for those in need. He also maintains his ties to Monsignor Farrell High School by serving on its Board of Directors.
